El 28 julio 1965 el Sr. Arzobispo Mons. Carlos H. Rodríguez Quirós da el decreto de erección de la Parroquia Niño Jesús de Praga, Ipis, Goicoechea.

El Templo fue consagrado por el Sr. Arzobispo Mons. Román Arrieta Villalobos el 31 mayo de 1987.
El 8 octubre 1993 el Sr. Arzobispo Mons. Román Arrieta Villalobos da el decreto por el cual se aprueba el cambio de nombre de la Parroquia como Cristo Resucitado de Ipis de Goicoechea.
